COPD Support Group in NYC

Rehabilitation classes, support groups, courage, and persistence when combined with a caring medical team can make a huge difference in the lives of people living with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. You can have a better quality of life, live longer, and overcome the limitations of COPD. Unfortunately, many doctors don't provide the resources and education that make a difference, rehab is hard to find, and support groups may not be available.

I just received this information from Sharon who is starting a support group; that should be of interest to anyone living with COPD in the NYC area.

The Department of Genetic Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College is offering a support group for those diagnosed with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) to come together for mutual support, comfort and friendship. Please join us for our first session on Tuesday, October 27, 2009. For more information: http://copdsupport.wordpress.com/
